Meet the Team

I have the great fortune to work with a team that strive to do their best, every day, to make each patient’s visit a wonderful one.

In many ways, my team is the reason for the success of the practice and the loyalty of our patient family. Beyond their professionalism, each team member is warm, attentive, and friendly. I love hearing them chatting and laughing with patients, seeing them share in people’s lives – celebratory and through the difficult times – and watch how kind they are with each person.

We are all committed to providing the best dentistry and building trusting relationships in each interaction with those we serve.

Amber

Dental Hygienist

I really enjoy getting to know my patients and making their appointment enjoyable. It’s especially rewarding to help people improve their oral hygiene. I provide dental cleanings, take X-rays, give oral hygiene instructions, and, above all, make sure patients are comfortable.

I began dental assisting in 1997, graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Parkland College in 2002, and joined this practice in 2003. Our staff is like family, Dr. Rotramel is easy-going and caring, and we all work together to provide the best care for our patients.

Family keeps me company outside the office. My husband Shane and I have four beautiful daughters, plus one ornery doodle. Our daughters are very active with sports, so that keeps us all busy. We love to visit Florida, too, and take smaller trips whenever we can.

Cara

Dental Assistant

I love working and visiting with our patients, getting to know them individually and learning about their lives and families. As a dental assistant, I work in the clinic, assisting Dr. Rotramel with procedures and supporting our patients, while making sure they are comfortable.

I have a degree in Psychology from SIUC and started my dental career here in 2011. Dr. Rotramel is thorough and provides high-quality work while offering a small-town feel. He and my coworkers get along great, caring about one another so we offer the best patient experience.

Born and raised in Tuscola, I played softball at Lakeland College after high school, and then transferred to SIUC for my Psychology degree. I’m married to a wonderful man, Kevin, and we have two boys who keep us busy. Our family also includes a dog, Ozzie, and two cats, Peach and Pepper.

Dorenda

Dental Assistant

I appreciate getting to know our patients and their families over the years. I feel very lucky to live in a small community where everyone feels like family. My days are spent in the clinic, where I seat patients, assist Dr. Rotramel, and offer patient care, education, and encouragement.

I have been in the dental field for over 30 years. I graduated Lakeland College in 1987 with a Registered Dental Assistant Degree and joined this practice in 1997. Having worked with Dr. Rotramel for 24 years, he and his wife, Andrea, feel like family. That’s true of the team, too. We all work well together and love what we do, so we offer a positive environment for our patients.

Being with family and friends is my greatest joy. My husband Joel and I love in Arcola. We have two grown daughters and two sweet doggies. When I’m not working, and not with loved ones, I love to sew and read.

Grace

Dental Hygienist

I enjoying interacting with patients and building long-lasting relationships while helping people in my community. As a hygienist, I help my patients achieve their dental healthy goals by educating them based on their individual needs. I take X-rays and perform cleanings to remove stain, plaque, and tartar, too.

I began my career working in Public Health in Champaign-Urbana in 2019. Then I transitioned to private practice, working first in Champaign and, since 2020, in my hometown of Tuscola. Everyone at this office is awesome to work with. We work as a team and have fun doing it. We all try to make visits pleasant and filled with smiles.

In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, my boyfriend Zack, and our dog, Lolli. I am a big football fan (Go Eagles!). I also enjoy cooking, working in the yard, and home décor.

Jaycilyn

Office Manager

I like interacting and building relationships with our patients. They quickly become friends and then family. As the Office Manager, I handle scheduling, insurance, billing, and all other matters that keep us organized and running smoothly.

I joined the practice in 2021, bringing with me 20 years of administrative, office, and account management experience. This is an amazing office, where we care about our patients and one another, and have fun during the day, laughing and joking around. This lighthearted environment helps to put our patients, especially those new to the office, at ease. We know the dental office is not usually people’s favorite place to go, so we try to make sure every interaction and visit is a comfortable, stress-free experience. Dr. Rotramel, the hygienists, and the dental assistants are all great with patients – from little ones at their first visit through their great-grandparents. I am proud to work with such a great team.

Like many of our patients, and my coworkers, my life revolves around family. My husband Andrew and I have two sons, Cameron and Cohen. They are very active in sports – and Andrew coaches – so much of our “free” time is spent on a football or baseball field or a basketball court. In what spare time I can find, I love to be outside and treasure being with family and friends.
